CLASSIC CAR SPECIALIST

Having significant project management history and classic car experience in build, tuning and restoration,  Steve is very well placed to offer a bespoke service for clients requiring the highest quality of engineering from a suspension upgrade to a complete bare shell rebuild

SUSPENSION SYSTEMS

Steve's experience on  ride and handling  projects for Jaguar, Aston Martin and Volvo helps clients to select the best suspension package and geometry for their needs.

Steve's has significant history in professional test driving and race track instruction, being an ex ARDS instructor  and holding an Industry Pool licence at the Nurburgring

ENGINEERING

Taking a production verification vehicle to +50 deg C at 282 feet below sea level into the basin at Death Valley. The culmination of the engineering development programme signs off the vehicle systems during the HOT Climate verification tests.

ABOUT US

ABOUT STEVE

THE BEGINNING

Originally trained and qualified by the Automotive RTITB board with a specialism in Turbocharging  theory and application. Steve worked with AC and TVR sports cars, building engines, tuning, turbocharging and chassis work.

ENGINEERING

Steve moved into engineering for TWR where he led the prototype builds and test and development work and rose to be the principal T&D engineer running the global test programmes.

With huge experience in engineering. Steve was approached to work for Rolls Royce aerospace where he was development and validation engineer on the Trent 1000 gas turbine in Derby and the Airbus A400m Turbo prop in Berlin.

With Aston Martin chassis systems and supplier management Steve saved over £1.8m in two years. At Jaguar Land Rover Steve integrated an improved prototype build sign off while being leading the engineering of the ESP side slip controller for XE, XF, F Pace and Velar products being an accomplished development test engineer/driver and approved Nordschleife Industry Pool driver.

More recently, Steve has been involved with developing new Electric Vehicles, leading the engineering integration and supplier management for Braking Systems, Attribute, T&D and Strength & Durability. His experience and in-depth skills helping to guide the teams in the many varied disciplines of engineering, building, developing and testing new vehicles.

CLASSIC CARS

During his time in engineering Steve always stayed close to the classic cars, advising a client on an E-Type Jaguar purchase, tuning a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow as well as BMW M3 & Porsche 911 Turbo involvement.

With leading specialists Tuthill Porsche Steve built historic 2.0l SWB 911 to FIA technical papers and was involved with classic race, rally and road car builds as well as the Peter Auto Classic and the African Safari Classic.

With Century Motorsport Steve carried out Weslake V6 engine tuning and a "new" vehicle build as well as detail restoration and race preparation on two genuine RS2600 Capri Race cars.

 

Steve's full and varied experience has included many marques, such as, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Pininfarina, Rolls Royce, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, F1 Tyrrell as well as a Motocross (regional) Championship, 250 Superkart success and winning a Snow Mobile celebrity race at a world championship round.
