APPRENTICESHIP

Originally trained and qualified by the Automotive RTITB board with a specialism in Turbocharging  theory and application Steve worked on AC and TVR sports cars, building engines, tuning, turbocharging and chassis work.

ENGINEERING

Steve moved into engineering for TWR where he initially led the prototype builds and test and development work and rose to be the principal T&D engineer running the global test programes.

With huge experience in engineering at TWR Steve was approached to work for Rolls Royce aerospace where he was development and validation engineer on the Dreamliner gas turbine in Derby and the Airbus A400m Turbo prop in Berlin.

With engineering contract work at Aston Martin Steve saved the chassis spend over £1.8m in two years and at Jaguar Land Rover Steve integrated an improved prototype build sign off while being integral to the engineering of the ESP side slip controller for XE, XF, F Pace and Velar products.

More recently, Steve led the management and integration of an autonomous braking system for a start up BEV project and is working with manufacturer's to develop cost effective T&D programme's bringing his specialist skills to streamline durability and climate development & verification programme's.

CLASSIC CARS

During his time in engineering Steve always stayed close to the classic cars, advising a client on an E-Type Jaguar purchase and working on special projects of his own including BMW M3, Porsche 911 Turbo as well as various others and has been working with leading Porsche specialist Tuthill Porsche on the classic race, rally and road car service and builds as well as the Peter Auto Classic 911 race series at Monza and the African Safari Classic servicing the 2nd placed 911.
